Better understanding vaccine hesitancy in our communities is important in helping save lives.
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented unprecedented challenges to individuals, families, and communities worldwide. While vaccines have emerged as powerful tools in the fight against the virus, we recognise that some people may have concerns or questions about their safety, efficacy, or side effects. Addressing these concerns is crucial to achieving widespread immunity and ending the pandemic.
We know local charities and community groups have a unique insight into their community. We understand there may be differing views, perspectives and lived experiences around receiving the Covid vaccine. We’re working with NHS Dorset Healthcare (DHC) to hold a series of focus groups to gather your views and insights that will help shape NHS strategies to address vaccine hesitancy. All input is valued.
What to Expect
Our focus groups will provide a safe and confidential space for open and honest discussions. Led by ourselves and our DHC colleagues, these sessions will explore various aspects of COVID vaccine hesitancy, such as:
- Reasons behind vaccine hesitancy
- Information sources and misinformation
- Personal experiences and concerns
- Strategies to increase vaccine confidence
