Developing a Robust Business Plan

This bite-size training will help your organisation produce a robust business plan.

You might not have thought about a business plan and the importance of having one. It might be a requirement for funding or to support your legal registration, but a robust plan can provide you with much more.

Developing or reviewing a business plan allows you to step out of the day-to-day running of your project or organisation, think about the bigger picture, reflect on what you have achieved and help you plan for the future.

From an asset-based approach, this bite-size training (and the workbook we provide) will help your organisation produce a robust business plan.

This training will help you clarify:

  • What you are trying to achieve
  • How you will deliver services
  • How you will monitor, evaluate and review your activities
  • Current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
  • What’s on around you and how you interact with other people and groups.

This will help your organisation establish how much money you need to run smoothly and effectively, in the short, medium and longer term.

You may have a business plan that hasn’t been reviewed recently, or you haven’t started one. This training will allow you to look at the skills, knowledge and experience you have in place and those you may need to develop to support your service delivery. It will enable you to explain clearly and effectively to others what you intend to provide and how it will be delivered.
