An introduction to multiple disadvantage, its causes and experiences, and the key ingredients for change.
MEAM’s training will introduce you to the concept of multiple disadvantage and explore the subject as a systemic issue. You will reflect on your local area’s approaches to multiple disadvantage while also considering a range of concepts, terminology and definitions. We’ll examine intersectionality, demographics and systems journeys through to systemic oppression and how this can impact on communities.
Our trainers will introduce you to MEAM’s frameworks and tools, so that you are equipped to influence change. Our training also considers the vital roles culture and values play, along with systems thinking, collaboration and partnership working.
We also emphasise best practice approaches such as incorporating lived experience, relationship building and recognising collective strengths.
