The session is for:
- small or medium-sized charities or social enterprises
- that do not have a dedicated Human Resources team
- and will typically have a turnover of less than £1 million per year

Sonia is a HR professional specialising in supporting small charities and social enterprises with their people issues. Sonia has over 30 years experience of in HR management in the charity/social enterprise, research, higher education and local government sectors. In addition, Sonia has served as a charity trustee, advisory board member of a large social enterprise and volunteer mediator.
For the last ten years, Sonia has run Populo, a social enterprise (www.populo.org.uk) helping small charities and social enterprises to better manage their people – improving confidence and peace of mind and allowing them to make a greater impact for good in their communities. She has supported over 350 small charities and social enterprises. Sonia is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of People and Development and the School for Social Entrepreneurs.
