MEAM encourages learners to re-imagine approaches to supporting people facing multiple disadvantage.
Services, criteria and assessments can be designed to focus on people’s problems and assume an order in which they should be addressed. They also recognise that systems can be designed reactively to respond to problems, rather than proactively to build on strengths. Their course challenges these approaches and invites learners to take a refreshed view to reimagine and redesign local systems and services.
Their introductory course will consider a better journey for people facing multiple disadvantage and look in practical terms at what this means for support staff and those designing services, which we put this into practice through group work.
