Poole Life Centre is about much more than just emergency food. Our main hub, Jimmy’s, provides holistic support including: budget support and debt advice, cooking courses, healthy eating on a budget ideas, school uniform and clothing support, and signposting to other agencies including housing and benefits advice.
Our thriving hub provides an informal, safe and non-judgemental space where people can connect, and find practical solutions to address the root causes of the challenges they are facing.
Poole Life Centre has seen a marked increase in the number of people needing our services – we are recruiting for the following posts to work closely alongside the team:
Job title: Poole Life Centre Administrator & Support
Hours: 16 hours/week, (Tuesday – Friday)
Salary: £12.37 per hour plus 6% pension contribution
Staff benefits: All staff are offered 3 wellbeing days per year (these are in addition to the annual leave allowance)
Contract: Permanent (with 3 months’ probation)

We need an Administrator and Support officer to work closely alongside the Life Centre team. This role will support the Manager and Deputy Manager with administration tasks as well as provide project cover when the Deputy Manager is on leave. This will involve a solid understanding of the Food Bank operations, as well as developing good working relationships with the whole team.
The right person will be be highly organised, have excellent interpersonal skills and able to relate to people from all backgrounds. You will be able to manage data effectively, be IT literate and proficient in using Microsoft programmes.
You will also be passionate about supporting those who are going through extremely challenging times, while also being highly resilient.
