DorPIP (Dorset Parent Infant Partnership) believe that the foundations of a healthy future begin in the earliest days of life, through strong, secure parent-infant relationships.
Through specialist support, they continue to make a lasting impact on both individual families and the wider community in Dorset. At the heart of everything are the babies — their well-being, their emotional security, and their future potential.
DorPIP work closely with local authorities, healthcare professionals, and voluntary sector partners to raise awareness of infant mental health and its lifelong impact. Throughout this year, they are strengthening advocacy for babies, ensuring their voices are heard in policy and practice. You can be part of this movement by signing the DorPIP Manifesto for the First 1001 Days, showing your commitment to ensuring that every baby gets the best possible start in life.
One of DorPIP’s key initiatives is PAIR Training (Parent-Infant Relationship) , which has been rolled out to professionals across Dorset, made possible through funding from Dorset Council. This training equips frontline workers with the skills to recognise and support parent-infant relationships, helping to create stronger bonds between caregivers and their babies.
DorPIP are incredibly proud to have trained so many professionals across the UK, ensuring that more families receive informed, compassionate support during the critical early years of their child’s life. If you would like to experience PAIR Training and enhance your ability to support early relationships, you can book a place here for DorPIP’s next training day in June 2025.
As they look to the future, DorPIP remain committed to providing vital services to families across Dorset, ensuring that every parent has access to the support they need to nurture their baby’s emotional well-being.
