AECC University College Community Health Pop Up – Register your interest

AECC University college are a specialist health sciences university, delivering high quality education, research, clinical and consultancy services in chiropractic, physiotherapy, psychology, sports, exercise and health science, radiology and imaging sciences. They are working in conjunction with local community and health organisations, will be hosting a two-week pop-up health and advice service targeting those who do not usually engage in standard health care and wellbeing services. This will take place 18th March – 22nd March and 25th March – 28th March 2024.

The pop-up will run from 10:00 to 16:00 and will be situated in the Boscombe Art Depot (BAD) situated in the main pedestrian area of Boscombe. BAD is a large multi-use space and creates a community centre type feeling rather than a typical clinical space which lends itself to this event.

The AECC clinical staff and students will be providing musculoskeletal triage and signposting, exercise sessions, point of contact diagnostic ultrasound, foot care advice and NHS health checks. Partner organisations will be providing mental health support, lifestyle guidance and social care support. There will also be a Community Support Hub area at the front of the BAD space for local organisations and charities to have stands and information.
