By Emma Lee, CAN Head of Engagement
CAN had the privilege of hosting our 4th Access Wellbeing Network last week, and I am so grateful for the incredible conversations and reflections we shared.
The session was all about looking back on the past 12 months of the Community Wellbeing and Mental Health Fund and celebrating the impact that so many dedicated groups have had on our communities. Working preventatively alongside Access Wellbeing Dorset partners and NHS Dorset, these teams are transforming lives.
We heard from Karina Green, who shared exciting updates on Access Wellbeing’s developments, and Ellie Maguire from Dorset Community Foundation, who walked us through the initial findings from the impact reports provided by our first round of participants. Then, in a truly insightful discussion, the groups shared their thoughts on the Fund and how it can continue to evolve in the months ahead.
The stories, passion and dedication were beyond inspiring, and I cannot wait to see what the next 12 months bring. A heartfelt thank you to NHS Dorset for trusting us all those years ago with such an innovative and vital project, and to all the incredible groups who joined today.
Your work makes a difference every single day – Emma.
