Building community resilience, inclusion & wellbeing

Published on 22 October, 2025

As a business support provider for the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS), our mission is to empower groups to deliver vital work. This week alone, we saw incredible impact across culture, mental health, and sustainability. This isn’t just a recap; it’s a look at the breadth of work we’re proud to support:

1. Fostering Inclusion Through the Arts – Huge congratulations to the CELESTE Group on their successful Dorset Tour of the “Hopefool” play! This community of people with English as a second language, refugees, and asylum seekers used drama to celebrate peace, unity, and the power of having a voice. A beautiful example of art as a vehicle for social change.

2. Transforming Wellness with Sensory Technology – We were thrilled to support the launch of a Digital Sensory Room at the Boscombe Hub—an innovative, immersive environment designed to promote peace, relaxation, and mindfulness for all ages and abilities. This project, a beautiful blend of technology and design, highlights the power of multi-sensory experiences to support mental wellbeing.

3. Empowering Sustainability in the VCS – Addressing a key challenge for many in our sector, we hosted an Income Diversification Workshop that brought together local charities for honest conversations on funding strategies and long-term resilience. The energy and collaboration in the room were a powerful reminder that sharing knowledge is key to building a stronger ecosystem.

4. Celebrating Culture & Connection – We joined the Beautiful Wisdom / Unity in Vision group for their October International Lunch, celebrating culture, wellness, and Black History Month with African and Caribbean cuisine. These gatherings are essential for fostering connection and appreciation across diverse community groups.
