Imagine a world where healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organisations can effortlessly share information, collaborate on solutions, and ultimately be better equipped to improve the lives of people in Dorset. That’s the vision behind CAN’s Virtual Hub.
Our non-profit mission is to strengthen our community by improving collaboration between different organisations, charities and community groups. We realised that a big part of this was getting everyone on the same page, sharing information, and working together smoothly.
That’s where the Virtual Hub comes in. It’s like a digital community centre for those caring for Dorset. It’s a place where they can connect, share ideas, find resources, and get support. We built it with busy professionals in mind, making it easy to use and packed with useful information.
We know the Virtual Hub is making a real difference. One social worker told us, “This service is radically changing healthcare for people. It’s helping to improve mental and physical health by bringing communities together.” We’ve also seen huge time savings, with people spending less time searching for information and more time helping people.
With over 500 professionals already signed up, you also might find it useful to join the network. We’re excited about the future of the Virtual Hub. We’re already been asked to develop a service to support the BCP Council Early Help transformation, using our knowledge of the VCS to bring together the people that perform crucial services.
CAN are here to support Dorset’s VCS, and contribute to a society where everyone has the support they need to thrive. The Virtual Hub is a big step in the right direction, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for everyone working together.
