Following the success of the stormbreak Shine launch event last year, Stormbreak are hosting two further training and implementation events across Dorset for professionals who support children and young people.
The events will enable effective networking, training, digital support and knowledge sharing.
These events are part of a wider children and young people emotional wellbeing project with NHS Dorset, which sees stormbreak work with a range of system partners including local Primary Care Network’s, Mental Health Support Team’s, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Gateway, schools, children’s services and social care to develop and deliver an integrated system approach to promote emotional wellbeing and mental health for primary school aged children.
The project includes delivery across Dorset of the stormbreak Surge programme; a whole school approach with primary schools to universally embed mentally healthy movement every day for every child. Parent & carer workshops; empowering families to use mentally healthy movement to support children. As well as, the implementation of stormbreak Shine; a platform for professionals to offer digital pathways to children who need additional support when there is an early, emerging emotional wellbeing need. Shine can be used by any trusted adult, in any setting with a child in need. As a small group intervention or a one to one journey.
