Our friends at GamCare tell us the run up to Christmas and New Year is always a period of concern. They receive an increase in desperate calls at the National Gambling Helpline, with issues around mental health, debt, suicidal thoughts and domestic abuse. Professionals being aware of where to signpost people is really key to them getting the help and support, they need.
Not always easy to spot when we talk to people, as gambling is a hidden action, particularly among women. GamCare warmly invite you to a CPD accredited webinar in December. All of GamCare’s services are free, as are these webinars, and fully supported by the National Gambling Commission.
