Over the past few months, NCVO has been working closely with the new government to amplify the voice of our sector, and they’ve been listening. As a result of this work, they’re working with ACEVO and the government to develop the Civil Society Covenant, a framework that will reset how local and national government engages with the sector, creating lasting and positive change.

The decisions made by the government and its subsidiaries play a massive role in our sector; impacting our work and ultimately the communities we serve. Although there have been some positive examples of collaboration, our relationship has been transactional and not transformational for too long. It’s time for a change.
