We had a good old catch up with Harriet from Jurassic Multicultural Network recently, to find out what they offer and what they’re up to. Jurassic Multicultural are a Bridport-based group supporting people from diverse faith and heritage backgrounds to come together.
They hold regular meetings for the community to spend time with each other, chatting, drinking tea and making friends, whilst their children play together. Sometimes problems and difficulties are shared, with the group, or on a one-to-one basis, perhaps to discuss racism experienced, or help with accommodation. Support and signposting are always on hand. The focus is on inclusion and offering a welcome to all, something Harriet describes as ‘a bridge between communities.’
Jurassic Multicultural invites you to their Festive Meetup at Bridport Children’s Centre at 1 pm on Saturday 2nd December. They will be creating tree decorations and sharing festive food from their cultures.
