An unforgettable night of live music and community spirit raised just over £3,000 for The Labrador Rescue Trust – a fantastic achievement that will help support the Charity’s work caring for Labradors in need.

Spinal Taff promised to come back bigger and better than last year and what a night it turned out to be! The roof was practically lifted off the Allendale Community Centre in Wimborne as music fans gathered for an evening of fantastic live music, great company and fundraising for a truly worthy cause.

Kicking off the entertainment in style was Vesper, a talented young rock band featuring pupils from Poole and Parkstone Grammar Schools. They delivered a fabulous set, warming up the crowd and setting the stage for the headline act, Spinal Taff, who took over with an amazing set of heavy rock that had the audience buzzing.

But this was about much more than the music. The evening was filled with generosity, fun and community spirit, all in support of The Labrador Rescue Trust, which helps Labradors in need of care across the South West of England.

A huge thank you goes to the evening’s generous sponsors, Hillside Veterinary Practice and HENRY, whose support helped make the event such a success. Sincere thanks also go to everyone who donated fantastic raffle prizes, including Hot Rocks Restaurant in Bournemouth, Taj of Corfe Mullen, Gulliver’s Bookshop, Square Records and Wayne Healey Valeting. Their generosity helped us to raise such a fabulous sum and make the evening even more special.

Keeping everyone entertained between the bands was the brilliant Matt Fleming from HENRY, who took on the role of MC with great enthusiasm. From keeping the energy high to calling the raffle, Matt ensured the fun continued throughout the evening while reminding everyone of the important work carried out by The Labrador Rescue Trust.

An enormous round of applause to Lucy and Steve Richards, and all the other Labrador Rescue Trust Volunteers whose hard work and dedication in organising the event made this unforgettable night possible. Special thanks to Jo Norbury and Erica Iwerne, whose support and handwriting skills ensured that the raffle was a great success.

Every penny made will be spent to keep those tails wagging!
