This amazing charitable gallery and museum are a celebrating and sharing the diverse African cultures living in Bournemouth and want to get folks involved. They are hosting a special event on 15th February from 5pm – 8pm and welcome contributions from local communities or individuals on the theme ‘Voices of Africa.’
They are looking for the following types of contributions:
- Fashion/clothing
- Performance (for example, playing or showcasing a local musical instrument/s; dance or storytelling).
- Art (sculpture, jewellery, basket weaving)
- Storytelling (telling a local fairy tale or fable)
- Religion (objects that hold religious meaning)
- Ceremonies and special occasions (wedding ceremonies, celebrating life and death and talking about them)
This event will be an opportunity to celebrate and share the diverse African cultures living in Bournemouth –please encourage folk to get involved!
