CAN utterly condemn the violent disorder perpetrated over the last five days. This does not represent the voluntary and community organisations we work with or the areas and communities they support.
Together, you and your communities support a network of charities, community groups, and voluntary organisations across Dorset. These organisations work tirelessly to build communities, tackle disadvantage, and create positive futures.
Violence and racism have no place in our society.
We stand in solidarity with the affected communities and offer support to those who have been victims of hate. Our commitment is to help community groups, voluntary organisations, and charities rebuild lives and communities. We will work alongside you to support affected communities now and in the long term as vital community rebuilding takes place.
Contact emma.lee@can100.org if we can support you with:
- communications and media support to effectively engage with your community.
- coordinating information sharing, fundraising, resource allocation and volunteer management to streamline response efforts.
- long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts, including funding opportunities, community cohesion initiatives and support services.
By working together, we can heal and rebuild stronger communities.
We won’t let hate win.
Karen & the CAN team.
