Dates for your diaries!

The Big Help Out is back, 7th to 9th June

Join the free, practical NCVO webinar on 6th March or 3rd April, to learn about plans for The Big Help Out 2024, including how you can get involved. More information can be found here Event Management (ncvo.org.uk)

Volunteers Week

To coincide with the Big Help Out 2024, Volunteers’ Week will take place from 3 to 9 June this year. It’s the 40th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week. New and updated resources will be available on the Volunteers’ week website from 26 March.

We will be in touch nearer the time to hear about all the great ways you are celebrating and recognising the work of your brilliant volunteers.

Poole Park Picnic / Beach picnic– it would be a fabulous opportunity to bring all our volunteers, Volunteer Coordinator, and anyone who supports volunteers/trustees, together and have a picnic during Volunteers Week. This picnic presents a perfect occasion to express thanks to all our volunteers while providing them with an opportunity to connect and interact with volunteers from other organisations.

Let Amy know if this is something you would like to offer to your volunteers and if you have any ideas about what the event could look like – amy.collins@can100.org

Thank You Day

Thank You Day 2024 also falls in Volunteers’ Week, on Sunday 7 June. It’s an opportunity to say thank you to the volunteers who go above and beyond for our communities.

How can AI help Volunteer Coordinators

Are you familiar with AI? Do you use AI to help you on a day-to-day basis. This thought provoking article explains the different ways in which you can use AI to help with the recruitment of volunteers https://teamkinetic.co.uk/blog/2023/04/how-can-ai-help-volunteer-managers/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=teamtalk_february Don’t forget AI is not in anyway a substitute for that human touch! If you would like a chat with Amy, about how AI works, then drop her an email.
