Throughout his lifetime, Richard has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to improving the lives of others, often in the face of his own challenges. He has personally raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for countless charities, driven by a simple yet powerful philosophy: where there is a need, he will fulfil it.
You might know him from his leadership of the Rotary Dorset Bike Ride, which has raised significant funds for Cancer Research UK – an initiative he continued to spearhead even while courageously battling cancer himself. Or perhaps you’ve seen him bringing pure joy to countless children and families as Father Christmas. He has also taken on numerous community initiatives, from organising vital food parcel deliveries for struggling families after the pandemic to his countless other efforts.
Richard is more than just a fundraiser. He embodies the spirit of service in every sense. He’s a hands-on volunteer, always ready to cook a meal, mentor someone in need, or simply spread joy wherever he goes. His generosity knows no bounds, extending to all corners of the community, from supporting those grappling with mental illness to tirelessly raising vital funds for cancer research.
