Update from the Dorset & BCP Adult Safeguarding Board

We’re pleased to share the latest updates from the Dorset & BCP Adult Safeguarding Board, which continues to play a vital role in protecting vulnerable adults across our communities.

As part of this work, Natascha McAllistair, CEO of SEDCAT, continues to represent the voluntary and community sector in her ongoing role as the VCS Involvement Partner. Her experience and leadership ensure that the voices of local charities and community organisations are heard and valued in safeguarding strategy and practice.

The Board’s latest newsletter (Issue 7, July 2025) includes:

Don’t miss the Annual Online SAR Learning Event on Wednesday, 13 November 2025, 9:30 am–12:30 pm, facilitated by Professor Michael Preston-Shoot. This session will explore key learning from SARs, including Edward, Peter, and others from across the UK, offering valuable insights for anyone involved in adult safeguarding.
