By Emma Lee, CAN Head of Engagement
CAN are working with Dorset Chamber to facilitate the upcoming Get Britain Working: Information & Input Session for the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) on Wednesday, 13th August at 2 pm, online.
Are you helping people on their journey towards work? Whether through skills training, employment support, or wellbeing services, we want to hear from you.
This session is part of the Get Dorset & BCP Working Plan, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions and delivered through local authorities. It’s a key piece of a national 10-year strategy to support people facing barriers to employment — including those affected by health, disability, age, or other challenges.
To make this plan meaningful and effective, we need to understand what’s already happening across Dorset. By mapping current services, we can work towards a more joined-up, equitable approach that supports residents now and into the future. That’s where you come in. Join us online on Wednesday, 13th August at 2 pm to:
- Hear about the national and local vision
- Share what your organisation is delivering
- Help shape how we work together over the next decade.
For direct enquiries, contact rebecca.davies@dorsetchamber.co.uk. Let’s make sure every voice is heard and every resident has the support they need to thrive.
