DBS Online Workshop – Eligibility for DBS checks 

Join Mel Berry, the Regional Outreach Adviser from the Disclosure and Barring Service, for a free Eligibility for DBS Checks workshop.

When: 9.30am – 11am on 5th December (Teams)  

If you’re involved in staff/volunteer recruitment, safeguarding, DBS processing, or managing regulated activity, this training is a must for you. Join Mel Berry, the Regional Outreach Adviser (South West England) from the Disclosure and Barring Service, for a free workshop which covers:  

  • Different DBS check levels 
  • Eligibility criteria for employees/volunteers 
  • Understanding regulated activities involving adults and children 
  • The DBS Update Service 
  • Incorporating DBS checks into safe recruitment practices 

Additionally, there’s a follow-up session at 2pm on December 13th, focusing on DBS Barring and Legal Duty to refer, which is suitable for those involved in making referrals to the DBS.
