Seeking partners to support young people NEET

Published on 25 November, 2024

As part of our work with the Early Help Partnership with BCP Council, we have been asked to find providers of employment and skills support in the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole areas. BCP Council is seeking collaborative partners to help deliver a scaled-down version of a successful program designed to support young people who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET).

Previously, this structured five-day program offered vital assistance to NEET young people, helping them build skills, clarify goals, and prepare for future opportunities in education and employment. Unfortunately, due to limited funding this year, they are unable to run the full program. However, they believe that, with the support of voluntary providers, they can still make a significant difference in these young people’s lives.

Together, they could offer a targeted initiative as part of our Early Help offer, helping young people in the BCP area with decision-making, skills development, and future planning. They would love to hear from any organisations who:

• Provide employment and skills support to young people.
• Are interested in collaborating to empower NEET individuals.
• Can offer innovative ideas for delivering impactful programs on a smaller scale.

If you’re interested in partnering to create opportunities for NEET young people, let’s start the conversation today. For more information or to discuss collaboration, please contact Nikki Dilke at nikki.dilke@bcpcouncil.gov.uk
