Margaret Green Animal Rescue prides itself on the standard of care each rescue animal receives. As well as veterinary care, animals are rehabilitated and prepared to go to their new home. Where appropriate, animals are vaccinated, microchipped, treated against worms and fleas and neutered.
They have three sites, two in Dorset and one in Devon. At Church Knowle near Wareham, they rescue and rehome cats, farm animals like horses, donkeys and goats and small animals, such as rabbits & chickens. At Lincoln Farm near Blandford, they rescue and rehome dogs and at Wingletang near Tavistock in Devon, they rescue and rehome dogs and cats.
Finding forever homes for the animals is at the heart of what they do, and for Lucy Hooper, Fundraising and Communications Manager, there’s no better feeling than knowing they’ve found the perfect match.
“Our rehoming process is designed to help potential owners meet a new companion who fits in perfectly with their lives and loved ones”.
Want to help animals but can’t rehome? You can sponsor them instead! Sponsor the species that steals your heart; the ‘pawfect’ treat for yourself, or a gift for someone special.
Margaret Green Animal Rescue is hosting a special event on Sunday 29th September at their Church Knowle Centre in Dorset. They are organising a Walk In Memory to raise funds for rescue animals in their care, whilst paying tribute to someone special or a cherished pet. The walk will journey through the beautiful Dorset countryside, and give you the chance to celebrate and honour your loved one’s memory.
Whether you walk for a friend, family member or beloved animal, take part and reflect on their life and the love you shared.
