This page covers commonly asked questions relating to the ‘Access to Community Support & Services’ project. There is more information about the purpose and aims of the project on the main page here.
An organisation I know of isn’t in the data set, how does it get added?
If you are part of, or simply know about, an organisation that offers support or services to people in Dorset, please let us know by emailing the team at servicefinder@can100.org. We will contact the provider directly and confirm their permission before adding them to the data set.
How will information about local services be monitored and maintained?
All services go through a regular assurance process to keep information accurate and up to date. The project team carries out the assurance process approximately every two to six months, depending on the nature of the service.
Can you include information on services that take place online?
Yes! The data set covers a wide range of services, including:
- In person sessions
- Online services
- Telephone-based support
- Home-visiting services
How is the information handled and processed?
You can read our document that outlines how service and session information is handled and processed as part of the ACSS project. You can also read the full Data Processing Agreement between CAN (the data controller) and Digital Co-Production (the data processor) here.
How can I have access to use Service Finder?
If you are a professional based in Dorset who helps clients access local services you are eligible for free training and use of Service Finder. To request training and gain access to the tool, please email us at servicefinder@can100.org.
What if I would like to utilise the shared data set?
We would be delighted to hear from you. Please email servicefinder@can100.org. Access to the assured data set via an API is free. In addition, we can also make our developers available to help your team understand how to use the data as well. You would have to cover the cost of how you present the information in your own tool, website or app.
