*Please see the below message from Mr David Sidwick, Police and Crime Commissioner*
I wrote to many of you back in the Summer at the height of the protests to thank you for your support, assistance and action when it came to dealing with what was an extremely difficult time for both Dorset Police and the people and communities it serves.
I was at the time and remain grateful for your support and as such, I would like to take a moment to ensure that you can find out more about not only the work that I do, but the work of my Office and how it can link in with your community group.
Attached is an information poster, which I would like you to share, it gives a little more background information on the role of a Police and Crime Commissioner and details of how to contact me and my office should you wish to.
Following my first term as Dorset’s Police and Crime Commissioner, I am delighted to say that my updated Police and Crime Plan has now been published. Much of the past three years has been focused on building important in-roads for change, and while long-term improvements are never easy to achieve, I am determined that as a result of the foundations we have laid, the next stage of this two-term plan will move Dorset further towards becoming the safest place in the country.
You can find more information in the news and newsletters section of my website about the progress that is being made toward achieving the priorities of the Plan and of course you can sign up to receive regular email updates on a variety of policing related subjects via Dorset Alert. In addition, if you run community newsletters or radio stations and would like to know more about how we could provide news updates to you, please do get in touch via pccmedia@Dorset.PNN.Police.uk
I hope that the poster and information in this email will be not only of interest, but of practical use to you and the community groups and people that you help represent across the county.
With my continued thanks,
David Sidwick
Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner
