DBS Online Workshop – DBS Barring and Legal Duty to Refer

A workshop is for those who are responsible for the DBS processes and legislation within their organisation.

When: 2pm to 3.30pm on 13th December (Teams)
If you have staff or volunteers engaged in regulated activity and want to understand your legal duty regarding DBS barring, this session is for you. Led by Mel Berry, a Regional Outreach Adviser from the Disclosure and Barring Service, this workshop will cover:

  • Barring referral routes
  • When to make a DBS barring referral
  • How to create a quality referral
  • Consequences of failing to refer appropriately
  • Implications of being on barred lists

You don’t need to have attended the December 5th workshop on Eligibility for DBS checks, but a good understanding of the DBS process is essential.

To book click here. Eventbrite bookings are now limited (over 25 tickets and you have to pay!). If tickets are sold out, email amy.collins@can100.org to book.
