When: 2pm to 3.30pm on 13th December (Teams)Â
If you have staff or volunteers engaged in regulated activity and want to understand your legal duty regarding DBS barring, this session is for you. Led by Mel Berry, a Regional Outreach Adviser from the Disclosure and Barring Service, this workshop will cover:Â
- Barring referral routesÂ
- When to make a DBS barring referralÂ
- How to create a quality referralÂ
- Consequences of failing to refer appropriatelyÂ
- Implications of being on barred listsÂ
You don’t need to have attended the December 5th workshop on Eligibility for DBS checks, but a good understanding of the DBS process is essential.Â
