Space Youth Project

Community Hero in the Spotlight, January 2025

Listen to Helen from Space Youth Project on Hope FM with Hannah, CAN Engagement Lead.

Space Youth Project helps *LGBT+ young people live happier and healthier lives. Young people meet in-person and online together and with Space staff to discuss important issues and encourage and support one another.

Space Youth Project also supports close family and friends of the young people with monthly ‘Space Family Days’ where they meet and learn together in a safe place. The first for 2025 is on January 25th.  Book via hello@spaceyouthproject.co.uk

‘Our young people volunteers, Supernovas will be continuing their brilliant work helping other young people by organising events and activities. Our adult volunteers make it possible for Space to deliver groups all over the county of Dorset.

-Helen, CEO, Space Youth Project

Our wonderful trustees give their time to keep us on track. Our brilliant paid staff pull everything together keeping our lovely young people safe and smiling. Thank you to everyone who supports our work and counteracts those that don’t! Hopes for 2025 include everyone being kinder and talking to LGBT+ young people about what they want and need instead of making decisions, that are sometimes misinformed and dangerous.’
