The Safe and Warm Community Scheme aims to provide energy awareness training to voluntary, charity and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations within Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, and Southern Dorset, that may be noticing the direct effects of fuel poverty on their beneficiaries and their families. It is particularly aimed at communities who may not access mainstream energy advice or may be excluded from energy support, be in fuel poverty and at risk of high bills or unsafe energy practices at home.
Action Hampshire provides online energy workshops to include information on fuel poverty, carbon monoxide (CO) safety, Priority Services Register (PSR) etc to enable organisations to deliver awareness messages to their beneficiaries and signpost to more specialist advice. Grants of £500 are available to organisations.
