REAV –  Refugees Empowerment Amplified Voices

Community Hero in the Spotlight, October 2024

REAV –  Refugees Empowerment Amplified Voices – is a vibrant and committed group of refugees and people seeking asylum.

REAV volunteers in the Bournemouth area through litter picks, gardening, serving food at the Social Canteen, and much more. This helps support their own mental health and wellbeing by giving back to Bournemouth as they help rebuild their lives in the town.

Members of REAV will be at the Black History Month event on 17th October, 6pm – 8pm, at the Fusion Building at Bournemouth University. This event is open to all, giving you a chance to network, listen to speakers, and enjoy delicious snacks.

Places must be booked in advance: Black History Month 2024 – Reclaiming Our Narrative Tickets, Thu 17 Oct 2024 at 18:00 | Eventbrite

REAV were also on Hope FM with our brilliant Mayu and Tama from the Ethnically Diverse Communities Project.
